Letters to Our Daughters | February 2013

As I look back at this month’s captures of you, I can’t help but notice your blossoming personality!  Most of the time you are silly, but you do have your serious (and sassy) moments too.  I love you so much I can’t even begin to explain.  The way you wrinkle your nose, or make your eyes squint into the shape of little moons… those are the most adorable expressions I have ever seen.  Daddy and I often share a look with each other when you are being adorable… we agree that love is not a clear enough description of the way we feel about you.  You make us laugh so often.  The way that you giggle after you say new words is the best!  Tonight you, Daddy, and I were making animal sounds at the dinner table… you thought it was so funny!  Thank you for being such a light in our lives!  I thank God that he fashioned you perfectly for your spot in our family.  You are the best thing ever, Sisteroni!
In the last month you have gained a considerable amount of words!  You can now say Daddy, Mom, Bubba, Moose (Moo Moo), Sissy, Pop, Grandma (Ahmah), Grandpa (Wah), water, more, milk, thanks… and probably more that I just can’t think of off hand! You are very good at imitatibg everything we say:) Oh, wait!!! How can I forget your new, most favorite word… NO!!  You do say yes sometimes, but we really love it when you say “Yeah, yeah!” instead.
At just shy of 18 months, you fit perfectly into 18 month clothing.  You have finally grown into yourself… for now anyway:)  You are an active girl… always able to keep up (or surpass) the energy level and climbing ability of your brothers!  You showed me tonight that you also know most all your body parts!!  You pointed without hesitation at your hair, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, ears, belly, arms, fingers, toe toes, feet, and legs… you got stumped when I said neck… but that is a tough one:)
I’m going to say it again, I LOVE YOU!  We have so much ahead of us, and I am more than thankful for you!!!

  • MamaSparrow - Erin, she is such a cutie. I’ve loved watching mine grow into who they will be and toddlerhood is one of my favorite stages. It is so fun to watch them learn and discover. The thrill and joy they get from the little things bring joy to our hearts. What a treasure you wrote these things down and captured these lovely photos of her for you both to remember because they grow too quickly.ReplyCancel
