Letters to Our Daughters | March 2013 | Kingsburg, CA Child Photographer

Welcome to another installment of our Letters to Our Daughters blog circle.
I have joined with a group of other Clickin’ Moms to write monthly letters to our daughters.  I hope you enjoy this month’s letter, and please don’t forget to check out the link to Catherine Heyres Photography here or at the end to read her letter and follow our circle through… oh, and don’t forget your tissue;)

Well Sisteroni… another month has passed!  Another month of you getting bigger, smarter, spunkier, and more and more beautiful and independent every day! In no time, your feet will touch the ground on the balance bike, and if the last 18 months are any indicator…. I think its safe to say you will be full speed ahead!  More than anything, this last month, I think your independence has kicked in to high gear.  You want to do EVERYTHING on your own.  When you realize you need help, you ask… but quickly remember that you didn’t want help, and insist to do it alone again!!

You are the best climber I have ever known.  Bub was good, Moosie was great, and you, my dear are amazing… and its flat out SCARY!  You climb things your brothers never tried to climb.  If I turn away for a minute, you can push a stool up to the counter and be reaching into the cabinets or sink in a split second.  Just the other day, Moosie decided that you’ll probably grow up to be a mountain climber:)

Your independence will serve you well as a grown up, and as a girl growing up.  I can tell that you have the potential to be a smart, gorgeous, and confident woman.  I already see it in you!  Your independence, coupled with your fantastic personality makes everyone gravitate to you.  That and your adorable face!!!  I love you, Sister.  You are the perfect little girl for our family!  You fit right in with the rest of us goofballs!
I just pray that every day you know I love you.  I don’t know if I’ve written it here, but there was something about you when you were born.  I knew from the very instant I touched your face that you were MY girl.  That you and I would be walking this road of life together… thick as theives.  So far, its the truth.  You are MY girl.  My little BFF;)
I love you forever sweet girl!
Love, Mommy

  • Shellie - What a beautiful letter 🙂 I just love the skinny jeans and ruffle tee on her! She is such a doll and her independence is really captured in these photos 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Emily grapes - She looks so much like Moose in the counter photos!! The feet shot is great! I hope you two will always be thick as thieves!

  • Catherine McAteer - These photos made me laugh out loud. You have truly captured her spirit in these this month. They are so busy aren’t they? I love how you capture the special bond between mother and daughter in your letters. I think it’s a bit different when you only have girls. I don’t know any different. That said, I have also heard that moms and their sons have a pretty amazing connection as well. You are lucky to be having both experiences with your kidlets.ReplyCancel
